Skiatook Public Schools is currently taking applications for the position of Teaching Assistant/ Accompanist-HS Choir for the 2024-25 school year. The start date for this position is August 5, 2024.
SCHOOL SITE: Skiatook High School
QUALIFICATIONS: HS diploma or GED. Ability to play piano for accompanying a choir.
CONTRACT: 10 months
WORKING HOURS: 7.5 hours daily
REPORTS TO: Classroom Teacher
EVALUATED BY: Principal
SUPERVISES: Students, as needed
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises and assists students individually and in groups in an instructional capacity.
- Play the piano for the choirs and any related concerts, contests and musicals.
- Assist with every aspect of the high school’s musical productions
- Assist with every day tasks as needed in the classroom, including organizing the music library, helping make copies for music appreciation classes, etc.
- Assist director in helping with small groups to learn musical parts.
This position will require some evening work for school performances.
