Skiatook Public Schools is currently accepting application for the position of Enrollment/Child Nutrition Specialist. The expected start date for this position is February 3, 2025.

Position Summary: The Enrollment/Child Nutrition Clerk is responsible for assisting with the overall management of student enrollment and Child Nutrition systems and ensuring Skiatook Public Schools meets all local, state, and federal regulations. The Enrollment/Child Nutrition Clerk will assist in maintaining student data and managing student data reporting and records and assist with the Child Nutrition program. The Enrollment/Child Nutrition Clerk reports to the Executive Director and will engage in frequent collaboration with the Education Service Center staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in entering and maintaining student data in the student information system; assist in preparing data for extraction and reporting/submission as the Oklahoma Department of Education requires.
- Assist in handling all aspects of pre-enrollment and returning enrollment for students
- Assist in providing direction and support for sites with pre-enrollment and returning students
- Ensure customer service, confidentiality, and proper documentation for enrollment
- Maintain a working knowledge of new and existing laws related to enrollment, transfers, affidavits, etc...
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance of programs, along with state and federal guidelines
- Assist in the training and implementation of possible new online enrollment systems
- Periodically reviews application and enrollment paperwork and makes necessary changes as suggested or required by federal, state, and local regulations.
- Aids in facilitating the completion of annual onboarding for all new and returning students/families, including paperwork assistance, providing information about the school, and other family needs
- Aids in managing clerical processes related to updating student documents, including special education students
- Assists in fulfilling internal and external student records requests
- Assists in conducting periodic compliance audits of files for students
- Assists in maintaining relevant data systems
- Attend training as required by SPS and the Department of Education
- Work closely with Child Nutrition Manager to file monthly child nutrition claims.
- Receive child nutrition funds from each feeding site daily
- Some overtime will be required
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Follow all SPS Policies and procedures
- Pass an Oklahoma Criminal Background Check
- Ability to relate to a diverse population of students and parents
- Proficiency in computer skills including student information systems, content management systems, email marketing tools, Google Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to learn new programs/software quickly
- Proven experience organizing and prioritizing work
- Ability to handle requests and inquiries and respond within a timely manner
- Close attention to detail

- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required such as; Functioning in office space - reaching file cabinets, filing, faxing, scanning, copying, typing, mailing, making phone calls
- Must be able to sit for up to two hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse, and typing
- Must be able to lift to 30lbs frequently
Education &Experience:
- High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred
- Experience working in an office setting
- Previous Sylogist software experience a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to speak clearly in a well-modulated voice with good diction. Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language in a variety of forms. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret various technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
