Job Duty
- Effectively manage a classroom of students by keeping them on task and engaged
- Assumes all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher
- Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher
- Supervise and ensure safety of students during classroom hours
- Maintain a positive learning environment
- Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher
- Assist with non-classroom duties when assigned
What happens after your application and forms are received?
- You will receive an email from SPS regarding background check, orientation video, and onboarding documents.
- You will receive access to Frontline where available substitute jobs are located.
OSBI and Fingerprinting Information:
The State Department of Education requires a fingerprint background check for all Skiatook Public Schools’ certified and non-certified employees.
If your background check has been processed by another Oklahoma school district within the last five years and you can obtain a letter of good standing from that district along with the background check results, it may be accepted upon review.
There are two ways to complete your Background check and Fingerprinting:
- We can send it for you! Just bring the following:
- $45 Cashier’s Check or Money Order made payable to OSBI (No cash or personal checks, please)
- Fingerprint card completed at the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office ($15)
- Bring to the Education Service Center located at 355 S Osage Skiatook, OK 74070
- Use one of the OSDE sites to do both the fingerprinting and the background check. Payment is made during the appointment or upon scheduling.
- Visit identogo.com or call 1-877-219-0197 to schedule your appointment.
- If using the website to schedule, select Digital Fingerprinting then select “Oklahoma” for the state.
- Choose a convenient location
- Use Service Code: 2B7KRR
- YOU MUST BRING YOUR RECEIPT IN. We will need it to access the background check result.
